As supported by problems such as: - Fermat's Last Theorem; (it took 400 years to solve) - Collatz' Conjecture; (50 years unsolved and counting) and - P vs NP. (50 years unsolved and counting)
But who can help but pursue these problems, when such fame and fortune are attainable...
