I think if you change "from them" to "about them" then this comment is true.
No, No, I'm gonna have to stick with 'from them'. It suggests that they have actually thought about what you've said or done.
I guess the main problem is that opinions can be true or false (or unquantifiable) ... e.g., "in my opinion greed is good" says only something about my beliefs.2cfromMe
